I had an 06 Prophet that I thought I'd ride forever. Then I test rode a 29er and upgraded immediately, but with a different brand for cost reasons. After a few months and several upgrades, I realized there's more to a Mt bike than just good roll-over, so I gave in and bought this bike. It's light, fast, and goes where you point it. The only upgrade is tubeless via Stan's rim strip. It's like a road bike for the trails!
The 29er Scapel is an excellent bike. The geometry and excellent components make for a complete XC bike. This bike has me clearing sections of trail with ease. I would recommend this bike to anyone looking for an AWESOME bike.
Bought this bike as soon as I saw that the lefty had been redesigned, I havnt been let down. I have over 200 miles on this bike and love it, a great bike for the rooty/rocky New England trails, I ride it competitively and leisurely, it is a performer at a price that wont break the bank. Im a 205lb rider and it works great. Cons: red? wheres the cannondale green? and the white seat was not such a hot idea, three winter rides and its already brown. that seriously is all I have bad to say about the bike!!!
