2013 Trek Madone 5.2 C

Trek's Madone 5 Series is a feature-packed, race-ready platform with an aero advantage. Crafted from Trek's renowned OCLV Carbon, this road rocket boasts their super-aerodynamic KVF tube technology to smooth airflow from tip-to-tail and effortlessly turn pedal power into speed. This Madone also features Trek's stiff, beefy BB90 bottom bracket for optimal power transfer, their E2 tapered front end so you slice through corners with pinpoint precision, and an integrated, adjustable seatmast for outstanding compliance with a perfect fit. Furthering the ideal fit is Trek's H2 geometry that places the handlebars slightly higher for top comfort. And this carbon beauty is loaded! You get Shimano's Ultegra 10-speed components for flawless shifting and braking and aero Bontrager Race wheels that let you positively fly down the road.

    Comments:

Brakes were recalled...LCB called me and fixed it. Other than that this bike is mint. Very good value. Excellent on hills, very strong. Converted to tubeless, duo-trap attachment is awesome. Tested a Cervelo, Supersix, and a lower model Felt. Only other bike I would consider is a Tarmac but unlike a Madone they are not easy to find in my size and color preference.

      Comments:

This bike has all the best quality components that a road bike needs without killing the wallet. The ultegra drivetrain is top notch, the carbon is the best without going into a custom Project One, super stiff. Love the integrated cables and the very aerodynamic brakes. Wheels are tubeless ready and well worth it, I rode 3500 miles without a single flat and you can see where the sealant has protected the tire. Trek definitely did it again with another well built Trek Madone!
