2013 Trek Rumblefish (Gary Fisher Collection)

The Rumblefish is Trek's trail 29er. Its aluminum frame houses 120mm of travel, putting this bike solidly into the rock-eating, technically proficient, go-all-day trail-bike category. That's backed up by a tight wheelbase along with their well-proven G2 29er geometry. All this adds up to quick handling, meaning it's easy to carve and hold the line on your Rumblefish. The suspension is dialed with a custom Fox DRCV-equipped Float shock in back and a RockShox up front. Plus, frame features of note include the stiff Trek E2 head tube as well as their Active Braking Pivot rear axle for superior control. It only gets better with specs like SRAM X7 10-speed gearing, Bontrager wheels and Elixir discs.

    Comments:

This is a very fun Trek Rumblefish bike. Very well built and good looking. Really enjoy the 3 setting of the rear shock, including lockout. Love the lockout feature on the front shock. Brakes are very responsive, however, I smoked the pads on my first major downhill ride. I replaced factory brake pads with organic - aluminum. Great cheep upgrade. If your looking for a super - fun singletrack bike this is the bike for you!

Pure joy to ride. I'm capable of making a few adjustments if needed. This bike is 100% ready to spend all day on the trails. Love this bike! Trapped in a prism, in a prism of light. Alone in the darkness, darkness of white. We fell in love, alone on a stage. In the reflective age.

The new rig handles well, on the climb and descending part. I have no complaints on the bike except for the brakes. Two weeks in already had to get adjustment from front and rear. Front brakes squeaks during climbing and rear brakes rub while climbing. Will eventunally up grade to xt brakes...other than that love the bike.

              Comments:

This bike after three rides just keeps impressing me! It makes the harder places in my local tracks easy. Obstacles that I would have to think about are after thoughts now. I find myself getting more aggresive after every ride. I'm not a extreme rider, but like moderate drops and jumps and it feels more stable than anything I've ridden before. For being a bigger guy ( 6' and 235lbs) this is great buy!

This bike does it all, XC, trail, down hill, and free ride. This bike may not master any particular area, but it does it all with excellence. This bike, to me, is the Fuel EX of the 29er world. It feels like Trek took the Fuel EX and applied everything they know, into the rumblefish line. You cannot go wrong with these bikes.
